Employee Benefits
At S.L. MacNeil & Company, we follow the same process for new clients as we do with existing clients when consulting on employee benefits.
A 5-Step process we call our EDICT:
Step One: Evaluate
We first conduct an analysis of your company to better understand your company goals and distinct work environment. We will review your plan design to determine the competitive nature of your program within the marketplace. We will do a comprehensive analysis of your plan’s financial history as well as the underwriting method versus alternative funding arrangements.
Step Two: Design the Program:
Once our evaluation is complete, we recommend a benefit package that we feel best suits the specific needs of your company. We take time to explain our recommendations in great detail and encourage feedback from the client to ensure we have the right plan design in place and ensure the client is comfortable moving forward.
Step Three: Implement the Program:
After the evaluation report is accepted, we conduct a market survey in order to match the plan with the right insurance provider at the right rates. Once we have settled on a carrier, we then assist in enrolling employees on the plan. We make ourselves available for employee enrolment meetings so we can explain the benefits package to employees and answer any questions they might have.
Step Four: Communicate with the Client:
Communication is a constant within each step of our process. In Step Four, we make sure that once the plan is up and running, we continue to be in steady contact with our clients to readily address any issues that may arise. We strive to make life easy for you by taking many of the day to day issues of benefits administration off your hands. We encourage clients to make us their first point of contact if there are any problems or concerns with claims, billings or administration.
Step Five: Tend to the Program:
As your benefits program evolves over time, we continually monitor your plan and will provide quarterly financial reports on the claims status of your plan. We will offer regular information seminars to the participants in your program.
We will offer pro-active solutions to meet the challenges you may face today as well as expert insight to avoid issues or potential problems in the future.
